Here, art becomes a path of awakening, a place where local artists and community members gather to explore the intersection of beauty, transformation, reflection and connection.
You are not apart from life, but an expression of its infinite unity.
Exhibitions, workshops, films, music, meditation and shared conversation all belong to the life of this room.
What happens here
The Gallery moves between looking, making and listening. Sometimes the room is an exhibition. Sometimes it becomes a studio, a gathering place or a quiet space for contemplative practice.

Hands-on classes exploring different media and techniques, with guided experiences designed to welcome both practiced makers and people beginning to explore their creativity.
Sound baths, meditation, contemplative gatherings and other experiences that use sound, stillness and shared attention as pathways toward connection.
The spaces
Each room changes with the work inside it. Art can be hung, discussed, practiced, listened to and lived with.
Rotating exhibitions of local and regional artists, with room for openings, intimate viewings and creative gatherings.
A flexible room for workshops, sound healing, contemplative practices and creative exploration.
A room for classes, conversation and learning, shaped by the artists, teachers and facilitators using it.

Shows change throughout the year, and each one brings its own openings, receptions and related gatherings.
A community book circle is also in development, alongside collaborations with artists, practitioners, facilitators and instructors.

Access
In the spirit of accessibility and shared belonging, many ongoing Gallery offerings are available on a sliding scale or donation basis.
Classes, films, sound baths and other community experiences may use this approach. When a special event or concert has a set admission price, it will be clearly stated on the event listing.
Where we sit
Sanctum Gallery and Sanctum Café share a North Street home in Pittsfield. Beyond the city, Healing Hearts Sanctuary continues the same larger ecology through land, animals, gardens and gathering in Worthington.
